Zwordar

Emperor Zwordar V, or simply Emperor Zwordar, was the leader of the feared White Comet Empire. Under his rule, Zwordar conquered the entire Andromeda Galaxy and soon set his sights on the Milky Way Galaxy, starting with Earth.

Appearance and Personality[]

As the greatly feared leader and supreme ruler of the entire White Comet Empire, Emperor Zwordar is best described as a ruthless, pure evil, megalomaniacal, egotistical, cold hearted, sadistic, arrogant, and irredeemable monster with a god wannabe complex to match. His two greatest flaws to his personality are his pride and arrogance. On rare occasions he has shown fearlessness in the presence of Teresa, who is the only being that Emperor Zwordar truly fears. In his final moments his own pride and arrogance proved to be his own downfall, as when the being Teresa unexpectedly show up right in front of his own eyes, Emperor Zwordar showed both fear, cowardice, and horror, and he even let out a terrified scream as tried to escape her, but she quickly pursued and destroyed both him and his Flagship.

Trivia[]

  • Zwordar is without doubt the most iconic and truly evil out of all the “Big Bads” in the original Space Battleship Yamato franchise who had received so much popularity with fans, that he was finally brought back in 2202 reboot series.
  • In Star Blazers, his name is changed slightly to Zordar and he is a prince rather than an emperor.
  • His appearance in Farewell to Space Battleship Yamato looks slightly different to his look in Space Battleship Yamato 2. In the latter series, he was made to look older, had his body beefed up, and wore boots.
  • His seiyu, Osamu Kobayashi, previously played Domel and would later make more appearances in the Space Battleship Yamato saga.
