'''Yuria Hoshina''' (星名 百合亜, ''Hoshina Yuria'') neé '''Misaki''' (岬, ''Misaki''), is an Earthling Earth Federation Cosmo Force officer. She previously served as a member of the operations department of the [[United Nations Cosmo Navy]] battleship ''[[Yamato (2199)|Yamato]]'' during its first voyage to [[Iscandar (2199)|Iscandar]]. Among her duties during the voyage, she hosted the radio program ''[[YRA Radio Yamato]]''. Misaki had a psychic connection with Princess [[Yurisha Iscandar]], providing an important method of contact between Yurisha and the crew. More than three years later, she joined her former ''Yamato'' crew members in [[Yamato Revolt|attempting to steal the battleship]] for a journey to the planet [[Terezart (2199)|Terezart]].

During the [[Gatlantis Campaign]] she served on board the Wave-motion Test Ship ''[[Ginga]]'' along with her husband, [[Toru Hoshina]]. Following the war, she was briefly reassigned to the ''Yamato'', before becoming the chief radar operator of the ''[[Hyuga]]'', a [[battleship-carrier]] part of the new [[65th Escort Corps|''Yamato'' Fleet]]. 

Following the [[Iscandar Incident]], she was assigned to [[Earth Defense Force Headquarters (2199)|Earth Defense Force Headquarters]]. At the start of the [[Dezariam Invasion of Earth]], she attempted to escape [[Earth (2199)|Earth]] to join with the rest of the ''Yamato'' Fleet's crew, but remained stranded on the planet and is currently a fugitive.

===2199: Voyage to Iscandar:===
Misaki Yuria took part in the voyage to planet Iscandar at the age of 17, making her the youngest crew member at the time. She could be seen at the buss transporting the Yamato crew members to the ship, she noticed Hoshina who was looking at her, but he looked away when she turned towards him. During the voyage, she shared a room with Makoto.<ref>[[Toward a Sea of Stars|Toward a sea of stars]]</ref>

Throughout the Voyage, Misaki could be seen around Hoshina. When the Yamato is planing to visit a mine on Enceladus for cosmonite 90, they could be seen in the cafeteria together. Hoshina commented on the Kodai and Shima's friendship, although Yuki did not seem impressed by them and warns both not to become like them. Although she worked in the operations division, she could be seen at the radar on the first bridge while Mori Yuki and Saijo Miki were off duty. She could also be seen aiding Makoto Harada in first aid such as when the Yamato hid under the frozen ocean of Pluto during operation M-2. After she received permission, Misaki started her own radio show on te ship called YRA radio Yamato where she played music and interviewed other crew members on the ship. She also took requests from crew members such as reading a passage of a book like clockwork prisoner by Shiro Shinta as well as fan mail. As the Yamato moved further into space, she could still be seen hanging out with Hoshina, who frequently visited her after she finished her recording sessions, although she is seemed to be annoyed by it, wondering if it really was okay for Hoshina to hang out with her. When the Gamiloid escaped the science lab and was hunted by security, Misaki was near the automatic navigation control room and turned towards as if she noticed something. She would later encounter Sanada, Analyzer, Ito and Hoshina by the turret loading room 2 and question security if they would harm an unarmed prisoner, stating that if it has a heart it should be treated properly despite being a machine. After Analyzer opens the door, Misaki suddenly falls to her knees feeling weak, to which Hoshina catched and comforted her.<ref name=":0" />

When the Yamato fell into a dimensional fault, Misaki witnessed the automatic navigation control room open and light up. Yurisha appeared before her and held her face with her hands, to which she promtly fell unconscious. Mori Yuki would find her unconscious on the floor and wake her up.<ref>[[Graveyard of the Universe|Graveyard of the universe]]</ref> After the incident, she would start dreaming strange dreams such as working in the hospital where she found an unconscious Mori Yuki. Yurisha starts to manifest herself behind her to which Misaki turned around and screamed, waking up in her bed. Makoto Harada, who sleeped above her asked what was wrong, to which she replied that she had a dream about a beautiful woman. When Mirenel Linke attacked the ship with her psychic powers, Yurisha would take control of Misaki for the first time. Along side Kodai and Yuki, she would aid them in saving the ship and stopping Mirenel by trapping her inside the wave motion engine and activating it while under Yurisha's influence. Misaki appears to not remember anything from when she was under control, later stating that she has gaps in her memory. While under the infuence of Yurisha, Misaki would wander around the ship and ask the crew about the wave motion gun with great knowlage of physics. This would surprise other crew members such as Sanada, Aihara and Ota who would also comment on her new hairstyle. Hoshina showed concern about her new behaviour.<ref>[[Point of No Return|Point of no return]]</ref>  

Misaki partook in the search operation for water and materials on Beemela 4. During the descent towards the planet, Kodai and Hirata concerningly asked about how she was feeling to which she responded by revealing that she lately had gaps in her memory. Kodai told her that was not normal but she insisted she was feeling fine, after which she would faint and Yurisha would take control of her body again. She remained under control for the majority of the mission until encountering an old abandoned Iscandarian ship and after Yurisha told them about Iscandar, Misaki returned to her body again. Falling to her knees, a concerned Kodai once again asked her if she was alright telling her that she was saying strange things. Yuria on the other hand thought he meant her new hairstyle, saying it looked weird. Together with Kodai, Hirata and Analyzer, she would find the wave motion core containing information about the galactic gateway to Balun.<ref>[[A Choice for the Future|A choice for the future]]</ref>

Misaki would once again find herself under the control of Yurisha, however this time Yurisha would remain in control for a longer time (until the rainbow starcluster battle). Yurisha would also reveal her control of Misaki's body to the rest of the crew as Yuki found Yurisha's real body asleep in the automatic navigation control room. After the battle of Balun, they could be seen  on the deck of the Yamato in their space suits. Hoshina commented on the beauty of the tarantula nebula and looked at her. Suddenly, she jumped out towards him and he catches her. He warns her that doing that is dangerous and she replied that Misaki really wanted him to hug her and that she (Yurisha) wonders what a hug is. This showed him that she was still inside her body despite losing control of it. Yurisha would also question captain Okita Juzo's decision to use the wave motion gun through Misaki.<ref>[[They're Coming!|They're coming!]]</ref>

During the rainbow starcluster battle, Hoshina escorted Yurisha away from the window areas as it was a dangerous area during the fighting and encountered three Gamilan infiltrators, getting himself shot after confronting them. In horror of Hoshina's limp body and fear of losing him, Misaki pushed Yurisha out and regain control of her own body again.<ref>[[Under a Rainbow Sun|Under a rainbow sun]]</ref> After the battle, she sat with Hoshina in the medical room where she confessed her fear of losing him and her feelings for him, to which he hugs her.<ref>[[Prison Planet 17|Prison planet 17]]</ref>

During the final battle with Gamilas at the Salezar system, Misaki sat at the radar station and braced for impact when the Yamato rammed the palace at Baleras. She continued her duties until the end of the battle where she handed over the radar station to Mori who had been rescued by Kodai. By 2205, Yuria was transferred over to the Hyuuga as chief radio operator. She can be seen on a call with Hoshina, telling him that if he does not hurry up he'd be late for the ceremony. After the 65th escort fleet was reorganized, Yuria began working at the earth federation headquarters alongside her husband Toru Hoshina, Miki Saijo and Yuki Mori. She commented on the outages caused throughout the solar system as the grand reverse closed in on earth. During the evacuation of former Yamato crew members she was seen walking on the HQ landingpad alongside Saijo, awaiting their transport. The transport is shot down when approaching the HQ, and Yuria along side the rest of HQ personel made their way back to the command room, where Todo Heikuro promtly ordered them to leave using the under ground tunnels. They are split into two groups, with Yuria escaping with Hoshina. During the following days, she remained hidden withing the new capital together with Hoshina, who was planning to establish contact with Nanbu and the Hyuga crew. She asked how Hoshina's patrol went to which he responds that Dezarium are integrating into society after Skulldarts announcement. When Hoshina spoke of his plan to contact Nanbu and the others, she voiced concern that Nanbu is being monitored but is told he'll figure it out. <ref>[["Fire the Starting Gun! After Hoshina established the resistance and planned their first anti-dezarium operation, Yuria tells him about how she wants to help. ==Personality==
Yuria Misaki is the youngest of the yamato crew to embark on the voyage to Iscandar. She is shown to be a dilligent worker when she preforms her tasks as radar operator or preforming first aid.
