A wave motion resonance wave, also known as a wave motion lens,[1] is a wave of wave motion energy that is used to control the wave motion resonance phenomenon. By emitting a resonance wave, a wave-motion energy control device can significantly enhance[2] or decrease[3] the output of various devices powered by wave motion energy in the vicinity.[4]

There are two main types of resonance waves: active and suppressive. Active resonance waves propagate and amplify vibrations of a Calabi-Yau manifold, which generates wave motion energy in a device, creating a high-energy state. The production of active wave motion resonance waves increases when wave motion cartridges impact or when the wave-motion gun is fired. On the other hand, suppressive resonance waves vibrate in the opposite phase to the Calabi-Yau manifold, effectively canceling out the vibrations of the compactified extra dimension.[4]

Additionally, there is a third type of wave motion resonance wave called the India resonance wave. This unique resonance wave is produced exclusively by Iscandarian wave motion cores and has a variety of applications, including those being utilized aboard the Earthling space battleship Yamato.[5]

Behind the scenes[]

The existance of wave motion resonance waves is revealed on a screen seen in Star Blazers 2205.[6] They were later identified in Star Blazers REBEL 3199.[5]
