Wave-motion Energy is energy that originates from the elements of all planets bearing life throughout the universe. It can be harnessed by applying the Wave-motion Theory and be utilized in many different devices.
For thousands of years, it has been primarily used by Humans through the Wave-motion Engine, a piece of technology that allows spaceships to perform faster-than-light travel. However, it has also been utilized in the military field, most notably by Iscandar, Garmillas, and the Earth, a fact which has caused controversy among these species.
At least one culture is known to have a strong hatred for Wave-motion Energy calling it an "accursed power".[2]

Wave-motion Energy originates from the elements of all planets that support life in the universe. Elements are substances comprised of the matter, evolutionary memories, and emotions of all living beings on a world, existing as wave motions beyond space and time. Wave-motion Energy stores the elements it's composed of, as such, the consciousness of living beings can be preserved as Wave-motion Energy after their physical deaths.[3] Elements can even be turned into solid crystalline objects and stored physically inside vaults, as was done by the Iscandarians inside the Sanctel.[4] Wave-motion Energy manifests as the vibration within the surface of a six-dimensional membrane, like a Calabi-Yau manifold.[5] The particle of Wave-motion Energy is called Wave-motion Particle.[6]

Wave-motion Resonance is a phenomenon that occurs when a wave of Wave-motion Energy meets another external wave of Wave-motion Energy.[7] It causes a considerable rise in energy levels, which can have both desirable and disadvantageous effects.[8][7]

By applying the Dimensional Wave-motion Theory,[9][10] Wave-motion Energy can be harnessed and used to power many devices, most notably Wave-motion Engines which allow faster-than-light travel.[11] Wave-motion Energy is extracted from the difference in vacuum energy that occurs with cosmic inflation.[12][N 1] Wave-motion Energy control devices, such as the Iscandarian Cosmo Reverse System,[8] can be used for various purposes, such as inducing a Wave-motion Resonance phenomenon,[8] or to recreate life from its element.[3][4][13]

The Genocide by Iscandar[]

The Iscandarians were the first human species to develop, and eventually gained vast knowledge of Wave-motion Energy. In accordance with their philosophy of Iscandarism, the sought to turn as many civilizations as possible into elements, and store them as crystals inside of a vault called the Sanctel, granting them an eternal life as memories. To become elements however, said civilizations first needed to stop existing in the physical sense. Iscandar thus began a series of genocidal campaigns, destroying entire planets and crystalizing their elements.[4] To do so, they made extensive use of early Wave-motion Guns, weapons powered by Wave-motion Energy.[3]
The Iscandarians eventually entered the vault themselves and stopped their efforts, closing down the Sanctel. When Queen Stasha Iscandar ascended to the throne, she reformed Iscandarism out of disgust with the actions carried out by her predecessors, as well as disillusionment with the prospect of eternal life.[4] Her and her sister Yurisha firmly believed any militarized usage of Wave-motion Energy to be a folly.[3][14][15]
The new developments of the Great Garmillas War[]

Planet Earth, a remote world in the Milky Way Galaxy, fell under attack from the Greater Garmillan Empire during the devastating Great Garmillas War. In 2198, Queen Stasha sent technological support to the native Earthlings, gifting them with the plans to build a Wave-motion Engine, in order for them to reach Iscandar and recieve the Cosmo Reverse System, which could cure Earth's biosphere which had been ruined by the conflict. Using the plans, the Earthling scientist Shiro Sanada developed Earth's own Wave-motion Gun, which was equipped on the battleship chosen to journey to Iscandar, the Yamato. The Wave-motion Shield, a new piece of technology which used Wave-motion Energy defensively, was also equipped on the warship.[16] Coincidentally, at around the same time the Garmillan Weapons Development Agency developed their own version of the Wave-motion Gun known as the Dessler cannon.[17][18]
Upon finding out about the Earthlings' usage of her gift, Stasha initially refused to give Yamato the CRS. She changed her mind after some stalling, but only granted the Cosmo Reverse to the Earthlings after Yamato's commanding officer, Admiral Juzo Okita, agreed that the Earth would never build such weapons again. His promise became a provision in the Earth Iscandar Treaty of Amity and Garmillas-Earth Interim Agreement, an armistice signed by Iscandar, Garmillas and him that officially banned the militarization of the Dimensional Wave-motion Theory, as well as declaring a ceasefire between Garmillas and the Earth.[19][20][21]

After the end of the Great Garmillas War the newly founded Earth Federation[22] rejected Okita's treaty, deeming it a mere verbal agreement the Admiral had given without having the necessary authority to speak on behalf of the Earth.[23] The E.F. drafted the Wave-motion Gun fleet plan, a military project that aimed at building a vast armada of warships equipped with Wave-motion Energy weapons. Despite facing both internal and external opposition, the plan was successfully implemented, and the so-called Wave-motion Gun fleet entered service in 2202.[20][24][25][26]

During the Gatlantis Campaign, between 2202 and 2203,[20] the Earth Federation made extensive use of the Wave-motion Gun fleet,[27] and even granted ships ships equipped with Wave-motion Guns to the Garmillas Empire, now an ally of the Earth.[25][28] The Wave-motion Excavator Warhead, also created by Sanada, saw action during the conflict.[29][30] During the Battle of the eleventh planet, Yamato exploited the Wave-motion Resonance phenomenon to debilitate Gatlantean warships through a massive surge of energy.[31] This tactic was later refined and used again during Operation Black Bird by the UN Cosmo Navy Ginga fleet[8] and, years later, by the Desler fleet during the Planet_Galman_Liberation_Operation.[32]
Six months after the end of the war a faction of the United Nations Cosmo Force rapresented by Sanada petitioned to deactivate the E.F.'s time fault. A referendum was held in December of 2203[20] and their proposal was accepted.[33] Scrapping the time fault meant that the mass-production of Wave-motion Gun-armed vessels was no longer a managable effort, and the Wave-motion Gun fleet plan was scrapped.[34]
New horizons of Wave-motion Energy technology[]

Following the referendum the Earth Federation adopted a new military policy,[34] but repaired and continued to use already constructed ships armed with Wave-motion Guns.[35] Studying the Cosmo Reverse System, the Earthlings developed the Wave-motion Resonance Waveguide Device, a piece of technology which uses Wave-motion Resonance to increase the energy levels of Wave-motion Engine-equipped vessels. The Type 4 Wave Barrier Round, a type of missile that could deploy Wave-motion Shields remotely, was also developed. Both technologies were equipped on the modified supply carrier Asuka and saw use during the Iscandar Incident of October 2205.[2][36]
During the Iscandar Incident the Earth and Garmillas encountered an alien faction known as Dezariam, which had a profound hatred of Wave-motion Energy.[2][37]
After the Iscandar Incident, the Earth's military policy went in disarray due to the impossibility of balancing a peaceful approach with periodic territorial incursions from the Bolar Federation.[38] As of 2207, three new classes of Wave-motion Gun-equipped warships have been developed by the Earth Federation.[38][39][40]
