Tsuyoshi Kodai[2] (古代剛, Kodai Tsuyoshi) was the husband of Noriko Kodai and father of Mamoru Kodai and Susumu Kodai. Early in the Great Garmillas War, he died by a Garmillas bombing during a family dinner. Only his two sons survived, while the rest of the family was killed.[1][3]

In 2199, Susumu saw a vision of his father and the rest of the family while under a psychic attack from a Zirellan agent of the Greater Garmillan Empire.[1] In 2205, visions of Tsuyoshi, Noriko, and Mamoru were shan to Susumu as he visited the Sanctel, an underground vault on planet Iscandar.[4]
