The Supreme Leader Guard Corps[3] was the division of the Imperial Guard[2] serving as personal bodyguards to the Greater Garmillan Empire's Eternal Supreme Leader, Abelt Desler.
Overview[]
All members of the Supreme Leader Guard Corps were female. Numerous Supreme Leader Guard Corps guards were stationed throughout the presidential office and accompanied Desler on off-world travels. They presented a decidedly non-threatening image under most circumstances by acting as personal servers and by affecting shy, giggly demeanors. In moments of danger to Desler, though, the pretense was dropped and they became confident and capable combatants.[4][5][6][1]

Following the fall of Desler's regime, a contingent of Supreme Leader Guard Corps guards escaped Garmillas with Desler to his flagship, Deusura II, during the Battle of the Imperial Capital,[7] and continued their regular duties after Desler's subsequent exile. As the Battle with Desler in Subspace raged aboard the battleship Yamato two months later, a four-member team accompanied Desler onto the Earth vessel as he searched for the ship's captain. They were able to protect him from an attacking Yamato crew member, but they failed to notice a wounded Zirel who managed to injure Desler. The guards shot the Jirel dead in retaliation and escorted their Supreme Leader back to the flagship. All of them were incapacitated or killed when Deusura II was destroyed.[1]
