The Suicide Attack Ship Eater I, also called simply Eater, is one of the vehicles part of the Gaizengan Weapons Groups, which saw significant action during the Gatlantis Empire's invasion of the solar system.

It was created to counter the Earth Federation's Wave-motion Shields.

Armaments and Technical Specifications

The Suicide Attack Ship Eater I was a large fighter developed to counter the UN Cosmo Navy's wave-motion shielding technology. It was capable of neutralizing and breaking through an enemy ship's wave-motion shield and piercing the hull. After that, it unleashed a salvo of shots from its Rapid-fire Turret at the target then self-destructed.

The Eater I was characterized by a flat, sword-like hull structure. The front part of the blade was a monomolecular cutting ram made up of multiple diamond-shaped frames. The rear part of the hull, which corresponded to a handle, was mostly made up of propulsion engines. An autonomous center was equipped with optical seekers and located on both sides of the blade.

History

During the Battle of Saturn, 80 Eater Is were mounted on the deck of the Apocalix-class carrier Valsey and launched a close-in attack on the Earth Federation's Enceladus defense unit, nearly wiping out the entire fleet. Several Eater ls were also deployed against the Walls of Garmillas Subject near Saturn after the Attack on the annihilation missile fleet to bring down both the walls and the anti-warp field, allowing the Ark of Destruction to warp towards Earth.

Various Eater Is were deployed during the Decisive Battle off Mars, one of them fired at Andromeda slicing the top off the battleship's bridge tower and exposing the main bridge to space but not slowing the ship or harming her captain Yamanami, who was protected by an armored spacesuit. During and just after the Final Battle Over Earth, several Eater Is remained lodged inside various Garmillan ships, seemingly having failed to self-destruct and damage their targeted ships significantly.

During the battle, hundreds of Eater Is attacked the Garmillan forces and the Earthling battleship Yamato, including a modified ship used by Chairman Razera. Which ended up nullifying and dispersing Yamato's rotating asteroid defense.
