The positron cannon is an energy weapon used by the Greater Garmillan Empire, the Bolar Federation, and the Earth-based United Nations and Earth Federation.
Greater Garmillan Empire[]
The Greater Garmillan Empire uses positron cannons on nearly all of their ships. They are highly superior to the high-pressure beam cannon originally installed on UNCF vessels. As they both base their offensive capabilities on positrons, the shock cannon can be considered the Earthling equivalent of the positron cannon.[1][2][3]
Bolar Federation[]
A Krotoga-class Standard Battleship fires its main cannons
The Bolar Federation uses positron cannons as the main cannons on the Krotoga-class Standard Battleship, Amanga-class Missile Battleship, and Ganonda-class Space Carrier.[4]
Earth[]
The United Nations and Earth Federation's main ship-mounted weapon from 2199 onwards is the positron shock cannon.[1][5] Unidentified types of positron turret is also used in the lightning type and in the two seats type variants of the Cosmo Tiger II fighter. The Patrol Ship class is equipped with MK.12 127 mm twin turrets, while the Escort Ship class is equipped with MK.33 3-inches turrets.[5][6][7]
