The Pleiades was a Pleiades-class Battleship in service to the Dark Nebula Empire under the command of Daeder. It appears in the film Yamato: The New Voyage.
History[]
The Destruction of Gamilas[]

The rear view of the Pleiades herself, as she leads the Black Fleet towards Gamilas.
In the year 2201, the Dark Nebula Empire sent a mining fleet to Gamilas to mine materials used for their war machines, which was intercepted by Dessler's fleet. During what would be referred to as the The 2nd Battle of Gamilas, the mining fleet sent a distress message to Commander Daeder of the Dark Nebula Empire fleet flagship Pleiades. Upon receiving word of the attack, Daeder immediately orders his flagship to set out with his entire fleet in tow to seek out, intercept, and destroy Dessler's fleet and secure the materials on Iscandar to be used as a new source of energy. Unfortunately for Daeder, he was too late. He then immediately contacted his superior General Moeldars, who was surprised to hear this news. He then orders Daeder to chase after Iscandar. Battle of Iscandar, Final Battle With The Yamato, and Destruction[]
During Dessler's attempt to convince Starsha to evacuate from Iscandar, Daeder and his fleet unexpectedly arrive on the scene and launched a deadly surprise attack on Dessler's fleet and taking out half of their ships. Dessler then orders his fleet to land on Iscandar while deploying dessler mines to prevent Daeder's advance. However, the Pleiades has an auxiliary craft complement capable of going through the minefield, which succeeded in causing further damage to Dessler's fleet. Not long after, Daeder's capital ships finally broke through the minefield through sheer firepower, giving him the chance to finish off Dessler, but before he could, that is when acting captain Susumu Kodai of the Earth space battleship Yamato arrived just in the nick of time to save Dessler and his surviving fleet from destruction.
Seeing the Yamato as a new threat, Daeder quickly averts his focus from the Gamilas fleet and orders his forces to attack and destroy the Yamato. But despite his fleet's numerical advantage, he still failed to destroy the battleship, not to mention greatly underestimating them. This action ultimately forced Daeder himself to personally take on the Yamato with the Pleiades. When Susumu Kodai realized that the enemy flagship was moving towards them, he tried to order the Yamato to back off, but the Pleiades immediately fired upon the Yamato, her shots easily penetrating the Yamato's armor and killing several innocent crewmembers in the process. The Yamato's counterattack with their main guns failed to even dent the Dark Nebulan Battleship's superior armored plating, Susumu Kodai ordered the firing of the Wave Motion Gun, but with Iscandar in it's line of fire, they were forced to change course before firing. Daeder, noticing this, played out a cowardly and dishonorable backhanded move... by using planet Iscandar itself as a body shield and the massive Dark Nebula battleship Pleiades continued it's relentless and merciless barrage on the Yamato. But just then, Iscandar suffered a large volcanic eruption so powerful that it pushed the planet away from Yamato's line of fire, allowing them to fire the shot and bring an end to Daeder and the Pleiades, which was completely annihilated.
