The Partisans, also known as the Anti-Dezariam Partisans, are a resistance movement composed primarily of members of the Earth Federation Defense Force, formed in response to the Dezariam Invasion of Earth in 2207. They are among the anti-Dezariam forces coordinated in secret by General Commander-in-Chief Heikuro Todo and operate under Operation DAD to oppose the Dezarian occupation. They are led by Lieutenant Toru Hoshina.
The Partisans were established following the partial failure of the Earth Escape Operation. Many of the group's founding members previously served with the now-dissolved Yamato fleet.
The Partisans launched their first major offensive with the Rebellion Operation, an effort to expose the Dezariam's deception to the Earth public. However, the operation ultimately ended in failure.
Organization[]
The Partisans are an insurgent group composed of former and active members of the Earth Federation Defense Force, operating in resistance to Dezariam's occupation of Earth. Some of its members are fugitives, while others continue to serve within the military infrastructure under occupation. All Partisans were formerly part of the 65th Escort Corps.
The group functions under the framework of Operation DAD, a covert military initiative led by General Commander-in-Chief Heikuro Todo of the Earth Federation Defense Force. The operation is coordinated by Todo and his second-in-command, General Kotetsu Serizawa, and maintains close contact with their other anti-Dezariam force, the Special Task Force Under the Commander.
The Partisans receive covert support from Chairman Mikio Ageha, head of the Ageha Group. Their headquarters are located beneath the Ageha Museum of Art.
The Partisans are led by Lieutenant Toru Hoshina, the former head of security at the Earth Defense Force Headquarters and Todo's confidante. Lieutenant Yasuo Nanbu also plays a central role in the group.
Units and assets[]
The Second Platoon of the Space Cavalry and the fighter squadron assigned to the battleship-carrier Hyuga, while officially remaining within the organizational structure of the Earth Federation Defense Force, are secretly affiliated with the Partisans. In addition to these units, other former military personnel have joined the group.
The Partisans possess a limited arsenal of military hardware, including the Type 5 Space Mobile Armors operated by the Second Platoon, as well as a squadron of decommissioned Type 99 Cosmo Falcon fighters that have been reactivated for use in their operations.
