Noriko Kodai ( 古代紀子, Kodai Noriko)[2] was the wife of Tsuyoshi Kodai and the mother of Mamoru Kodai and Susumu Kodai. Early in the Great Garmillas War, she died by a Garmillas bombing during a family dinner. Only her two sons survived, while the rest of the family was killed.[1][3]

In 2199, Susumu saw a vision of his mother and the rest of the family while under a psychic attack from a Zirellan agent of the Greater Garmillan Empire.[1] In 2205, visions of Tsuyoshi, Noriko, and Mamoru were shown to Susumu as he visited the Sanctel, an underground vault on planet Iscandar.[4]

Noriko Kodai was designed Shinichi Yamaoka.[2] She is portrayed by Shoko Tsuda in Japanese and by Linda Leonard In English.[1]
