The Melbar M-III Type Armored Personnel Carrier is a Armored Personnel Carrier operated by the Imperial Garmillas Defense Force of the Greater Garmillan Empire and designed to transport personnel and equipment in combat zones.
Armament and Technical Spesifications[]
The Melbar M-III Type is an infantry fighting vehicle developed for the purpose of cooperating with the Saruba heavy tank. The engine room is placed in the front of the vehicle body, and the crew boarding compartment is placed in the rear. The main armament is a laser cannon mounted on a small turret offset to the right, used for ground and anti-air attacks.[2]
The side of the turret is equipped with a five-barrel multi-dispenser, capable of firing anti-sensors, laser-disturbing smoke bombs, anti-missile bullets, and anti-personnel weapons.[2]
History[]
In February 2199, two Melbar M-III Type Armored Personnel Carriers carried by a Delamya class Landing Ship hid beneath Saturn's rings. The APCs and four Saruba S-VI heavy tanks were deployed on Enceladus to engage the UNCF battleship Yamato. The Melbar Type, together with all tanks and the Delamya were destroyed by Akira Yamamoto and Saburo Kato.[1]
Multiple Melbar M-IIIs were present on Leptapoda during the Uprising on Prison Camp 17.[4]
