The Martian Autonomous Government Space Navy was the space navy branch of the Martian Autonomous Government, and the first space navy in the history of mankind[1].
History[]
Up until 2111, all attempts to colonise Mars had failed, however sometime before that year, an alien space warship crashlanded on the Red Planet, leading to the terraformation techonology carried by the ship to automatically activate making it possible for the Earthlings to settle the planet.[1]
The wreck of the alien battleship was reverse engineered to create the Martian Autonomous Government Space Navy and unleash it against Earth during the Inner Planetary Wars. The United Nations in turn reverse-engineered the martians warships to develop their own space navy, the UN Cosmo Navy.[1] In the interwar period between the First and Second Inner Planetary War, the Mars Autonomous Government Space Navy was greatly expanded.[2]

- "Age of Space Battleship Yamato Choice of 2202" shows that the Martian warships have a warning message written in russian, according to conceptual advisor Junichiro Tamamori the Russian warning lettering is intended to cast the shadow of Russia, the former Soviet Union and a former leader in space development.[3]
