18 "Floating Fortress Island! Two Men Brave Death!" Sanada and Kodai are sent to disable a Gamilas electromagnetic satellite. While on the mission, Sanada reveals to Kodai about his past, especially with the latter's brother. February 2, 1975 260
19 "Homesickness of Space! My Mother's Tears Are My Tears!" Aihara gets homesick and starts getting visions regarding his family back home. However, it turns out to be an illusion thanks to Domel. February 9, 1975 255
20 "The Day the Sun Falls onto Planet Balan!" The ship finally reaches Balan, Gamilas' midpoint base in between Earth and Iscandar. Domel tries a final gambit to destroy the ship once and for all. February 16, 1975 253
21 "Desperate Challenge from Domel's Fleet!" Domel is put on trial for reckless behavior during the previous battle with the Yamato. Fortunately, Dessler gives him one last chance to destroy the ship. Domel plans to wage one last battle at the Rainbow Star Group. February 23, 1975 215
22 "Decisive Battle! Fight for Honor at the Rainbow Star Group!" The final battle between Domel and the Yamato finally happens, with the fate of the ship's mission at stake. March 2, 1975 214
23 "Finally Arrived! Crest of the Magellanic Cloud's Wave!" The ship finally reaches Iscandar's solar system but come across a stunning revelation - the Gamilas homeworld and Iscandar are twin planets. And to make things worse, the ship gets dragged to Gamilas for one last battle with Dessler. March 9, 1975 164
24 "Death Struggle! God, Weep for the Gamilas!" A battle between the Yamato and Dessler is fought on the Gamilas homeworld. March 16, 1975 161
25 "Iscandar! A Dying Planet of Love!" The Yamato finally reaches Iscandar and gets the Cosmo Cleaner-D from Starsha. Meanwhile, Kodai's brother is revealed to be alive and well on Iscandar. Unfortunately, a mutiny is about to happen and mar the happy situation. March 23, 1975 131
26 "Earth! Yamato Returns!" Dessler, having revealed to have survived his previous battle with the Yamato, prepares up for one last duel with the ship as it reaches home. March 30, 1975
