The Gorland Fleet, also known as the Terezart Defense Fleet, was a fleet commanded by Gorland guarding Terezart's orbit.
History[]
The Gorland Fleet was one of the most prestigious Gatlantis Astro Fleet formations. By the year 2203, it was under the command of Commander-in-Chief Gorland, the 19th to bear the name, who was also in the process of training Nol, his larva body. The fleet was stationed together with the Land Division to protect planet Terezart. They were tasked with building a large rocky encagement around the planet, which was used to extract its unique energy.[3][4]
On 26 March 2203,[1] the Gorland Fleet fought against Yamato during the Terezart Landing Operation. After Yamato warped through the Terezart blockade, the fleet's flagship, Gorland, fired its Annihilation Missile to attack the battleship. While the tide of the battle was in their favour, Commander-in-Chief Gorland underestimated his opponent, firmly convinced the Terrans wouldn't fire the battleship's Wave-motion Gun, and did not distance his ships despite Nol's suggestion to do so. When Yamato did fire the weapon, it instantly annihilated the entire Gorland Fleet.[2]
