The Garmillas National Security Police, also known as the National Military Police,[3] is the organization which serves as the highest level of domestic police in the Greater Garmillan Empire.
Organization[]
During the Desler administration, the National Security Police was organized under the umbrella of the Imperial Guard, which caused its authority to be greatly undermined by other branches of the Guard such as the Secret Police and the Guards Astro Fleet.[3][1] The National Security Police is responsible for the detection, arrest, and transfer of criminal offenders within Garmillas to the appropriate judicial bodies.[4][5][6]

The Garmillas National Security Police was the regular police organisation of the Greater Garmillan Empire, during the reign of Abelt Desler however, its authority was often undermined by the meddling of the Imperial Guard's military and secret police.[1][3]
Following the fall of the Desler administration the National Security Police retained its role despite the various reforms carried out by the new provvisional government. In early 2203 the police arrested the former Imperial Guard director and leader of the Desler Regime Revivalists Hydom Gimleh, whose identity and location had been revealed thanks to the effort of an undercover agent of the Security Intelligence Agency.[6]

- The symbol at the center of the Police's emblem is the Garmillan letter "P"
- National Security Police officers always carry a baton and handcuffs and, depending on the mission, they may be armed with an automatic rifle.[7]
