A war was fought over the span of at least four years between the forces of the Greater Garmillan Empire and the Gatlantis Empire. The two nations originally fought over control of the Small Magellanic Cloud, known as Gutaba to the Gatlanteans[1], in late 2202 however Gatlantis began making more daring moves taking control of the Eighth Floating Continent, which was later destroyed in a joint operation by Garmillas and the Earth Federation.[2]
In December 2202, Gatlantis began attacking the Earth Federation directly, leading to the Gatlantis Campaign, due to a security agreement between Garmillas and the Earth the two powers collaborated and thus most later battle of the war are also part of the Gatlantis Campaign.[3][4][5]
