Elk Domel served as commander of galactic theater operations in 2199
The Galactic Theater was the main theater of the Great Garmillas War. It was composed of the Milky Way Galaxy (mainly the Solar system as, for most of the conflict, the Earthlings could not venture outside their home system) and the rogue planet Balun, situated halfway between the Milky Way and the Large Magellanic Cloud.[1][2][3][4][5][6]
On the Garmillas side of the war, Galactic Theater operations and the Galactic Area Army were headed by a commander. Major General Gremdt Goer originally served in this position but was replaced due to his failures to deal with the earth battleship Yamato in 2199. The famed war hero Colonel General Elk Domel served as commander following Goer, with the latter being demoted to Deputy Commander of Operations. After leaving the Solar system in February of 2199,[7] the Earth battleship Yamato reached Balun and destroyed the Balun Military Base, the seat of the Galactic Theater Commander, in May of the same year.[7] Following the event, no more battles were officially fought in the Theater. However, in September, the fallen Supreme Leader Abelt Desler and Goer held an ambush for Yamato in the proximity of Balun.[1][2][3][4][5][6]
