The Gaiderol-class Astro Battleship is a class of capital vessel in service of the Greater Garmillan Empire. 

Armaments and Technical Specifications

The Gaiderol class functions as the flagship for many Garmillas fleet operations. Its ability of dealing heavy damage to hostile forces from the back of a fleet with its numerous torpedo tubes and weapons batteries, whilst still retaining a sizeable main battery makes it versatile in structure, as well as heavily armed overall.

The Gaiderol-class Astro Battleship is well armed with approximately 3 triple-mounted 330 mm positron beam cannon turrets, 4 duel-mount 280 mm positron beam turrets, 32 single-mount point defense guns, 12 forward torpedo tubes, and 21 ventral torpedo tubes.

History

The Chevalier, flagship of Colonel Valcke Schulz, was a Gaiderol-class operating from the Garmillas base on Pluto during the Great Garmillas War. Being tasked to hunt down the Yamato after the base's destruction, the ship was lost with all hands at the Breakthrough of the Garmillas Encirclement after failing to destroy its opponent with the Desler torpedo. Another Gaiderol vessel, the Goergametsch, was assigned to Major General Gremdt Goer during and after his time as the commanding officer of the Galactic Theatre at Balun. It engaged in combat against the UNCN battleship Yamato and, following the fall of the Desler administration, the Goergametsch together with Major General Gremdt Goer himself was finally destroyed in battle against the Garmillas UX-01, loyal to admiral Ditz. At least one was present during the Uprising on Prison Camp 17.

• The Gaiderol-class Astro Battleship's design was actually and originally based off of the similar in design one of a kind battleship, being the Schulz’ Garrison Battleship, that originally appeared in the original Space Battleship Yamato series.
