Megaluda releases Flame Strike Gun

The Flame Strike Gun launched like a large missile

The Flame Strike Gun is a weapon developed by the Gatlantis Empire using imprisoned Garmillan science slaves. It was entrusted to Governor general Goran "Thunder" Dagam in August 2199[1] during his Hunt for the World of Tranquility, it was later mass produced and became a common weapon in most Medarusa-class Heavy Annihilation Battleships.[2][3][4]

Technical specifications[]

Megaluda Fires at Allied Fleet

Megaruda uses its two SMITE systems

For a Flame Strike Gun to work a ship’s Wave-Motion Engine is driven to temporary overload to expand the dimensional overlap area outside the engine. This region of overlap is irradiated by a instant matter-teleportation wave to create a hole in Minkowski space-time, known as a Geshtam Hole, to cause a Geschtam Jump phenomenon around the matter at the irradiation point.

In order to maintain the Geshtam hole stable and nullify the effect of space time interference, two instant matter transporters are used to teleport the weapon's caustic energy.[2][3]

History[]

Medalusa Eighth Floating Continent under fire

Medaluza-class at the 8th Floating Continent Recapture Operation

The Flame Strike Gun was first used by the flagship of Gutaba Expedition Group Megaruda when it encountered and attacked the Zoellik Faction outside the Large Magellanic Cloud galaxy, proving to be more than a match for even the Zoellugut II's reinforced frontal armor and resulting in the entire fleet's destruction. The weapon was again used to attack the fleeing UNCF battleship Yamato and destroy one of her fleet Gliade during the Battle of Kappadokia. The Flame Strike Gun returned to use when the fleet arrived and bombarded Shambleau. The weapon is broken during the battle and released when Yamato attacks Megaruda.[5]

The Flame Strike Gun continued to be used by the Gatlantis Astro Fleet during the Garmillas-Gatlantis War and the Gatlantis Campaign, becoming standard weaponry aboard most Medarusa-class Heavy Annihilation Battleships.[6][7][8] During the Battle of the 8th Floating Continent, the weapon proved ineffective against the Wall of Garmillas Subject. However, the wall could be overwhelmed by multiple repeated strikes, destroying it and the ships behind it.[6]
