FWG.97 Doshira Astro Torpedo Bomber is a 3-seat[1][2] astrocraft bomber used by the military of the Greater Garmillan Empire.
Armaments and Technical Specifications[]
The FWG.97 Doshira is a large, carrier-based aircraft that specializes in torpedo attacks. Its unique structure was designed exclusively for the Fi.97 heavy torpedo and was not compatible with other weapons. Its large size allows for it to be heavily armed with multiple anti-aircraft remotely controlled weapons such as its quadruple turret, placed on the top of the fuselage, and a twin turret on the rear of the fuselage.[1]
History[]
An FWG.97 squadron was deployed from Guipellon-class Multiple Flight Deck Astro Carrier Schderg in a failed attempt to sink Yamato during the Battle of the Rainbow Star Cluster.[3][2] Years later, during the Gatlantis Campaign, the Crimson Comraderie-Class-Carrier-type Andromedas typically carried 8 red-coloured Doshira's on their superstructure flight decks.[4]
