The FG.156 Sumaruhe Reconnaissance Aircraft, is an recon plane used by the Great Imperial Garmillas Astro Fleet for remote reconnaissance missions.

FG.156 Sumaruhe is a reconnaissance aircraft able to travel extremely long distances and seek out enemies, its main engine has more power than an ordinary spacecraft, however, since the airframe is controlled by gravity balancers installed on the wingtips, the vehicle isn't capable of keeping up with other more manouverable aircrafts while in atmopsphere.[1][2] It's unarmed and it's crewed by two scouts.[2]

A sumaruhe during the Reconnaissance-in-force of the Yamato
In 2199, during the Reconnaissance-in-force of the Yamato, one Pluto Frontline Observation Corps Sumaruhe was used to spy on the UNCF battleship Yamato before she lunched on a mission across the galaxy to Iscandar to get Cosmo Reverse.[1]
Later, during the Battle of the Rainbow Star Cluster, the Domel Task Force used a Sumaruhe to detect Yamato's arrival to the cluster.[3]
