Eiji Ishizu (石津英二, Ishizu Eiji) was a UNCN officer who served as Yukikaze's XO during Operation M.

Eiji Ishizu was an officer of the United Nations Cosmo Navy. In early 2198, he held the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade and served aboard the Terran flagship Kirishima, participating in the Second Battle of Mars.[3] On January 17, 2199, Ishizu approached the Garmillas forces of the Teron Attack Force aboard the space destroyer Yukikaze at the start of Operation M. Right before spotting the enemy fleet, he jokingly commented at how eerily calm the space around them was. At the end of the battle, as Yukikaze undertook a suicide mission to protect the retreating Terran flagship Kirishima, he joined his comrades as they joyfully sang the UNCN's anthem.[2]
Ishizu and other crew members, including captain Mamoru Kodai, miracolously survived the attack, but were captured and taken to planet Garmillas to serve as samples for scientific research on the Terran race. The ship transporting them encountered mechanical problems as it approached its destination and crashlanded on the nearby planet of Iscandar. Only captain Kodai survived, and Ishizu was buried on a graveyard outside of Iscandar's royal capital.[1]
