The Eighth Mobile Fleet was a fleet of the Gatlantis Astro Fleet deployed to the 11th planet during the Battle of the eleventh planet. The fleet was commanded by Admiral Mazer.

In December 2202, during the Battle of the eleventh planet, over 2.5 million Calaklum-class battleships arrived on the 11th planet and under orders from Admiral Mazer and deployed a Legionairre Cannon to supernova Planet 11's artificial sun, creating an explosion capable of completely destroying Earth. However Yamato fired her wave motion gun at the artificial sun, causing a disturbance that immobilized all ships.[1][2]
All ships of the Eighth Mobile Fleet were heavily damaged, with many exploding due to their engines overheating and exploding due to being disable by the Yamato's wave-motion gun being fired into an artificial sun, shortly after the Battle of the eleventh planet.
In early 2203, a part of the fleet's ships were crudely repaired and, led by Mazer and Cosmodart, disobeyed Emperor Zworder's order not to pursuit Yamato and to return to the Comet City Empire. The traitors were marked as a "pollution fleet" and were destroyed by Supreme Leader Abelt Desler from his Neu Deusura.[3] The remaining warships remained inactive around the 11th planet. As of 2205, they continue to sit still in orbit of the world, under the supervision of the Earthling battleship Alpheratz.[4] By 2207, their wrecks had created an area called the Gatlantis Belt, still surveiled by the Alpheratz and its fleet.[5]
