Earth, known as Teroa or Teron (TERON, Teron) in Garmillas,[8][9] is the third planet of the solar system, inside the Milky Way Galaxy. It is the homeworld of the Earthling species, the seat of the United Nations and later of the Earth Federation.
Overview[]
Earth is the third panet from the Sun in the solar system. It's the biggest of the four rocky planets in the solar system and the only one with water covering its surface and an atmosphere primarily composed of oxygen and nitrogen. These unique composition is the result of the action of the many plants present on the surface. The Earth's oceans are filled with a large variety of substances resulting from complex chemical reactions which are only soluble in water and are the basis of life on the planet.[10][11]

Following the long-distance siege carried out by the Greater Garmillan Empire between 2192 and 2199,[12] the planet's ocean completely evaporated due to the massive amount of energy released by planet bombs on impact, this also led to the death of all vegetal life on the surface caused by the lack of water. The atmosphere was also contaminated by the bombs and the spores released by the alien plants they carried, rendering it unbreathable for Earthlings. These effects were later reversed through the usage of the Cosmo Reverse in 2199.[11][1]
Earth has a mass of 6 x 10^21 tons and a diameter of 12,700 km.[5] It's orbited by a single satellite known only as the Moon.[13]

In ancient times, the Earth was visited by the Archelias civilization, which seeded it with the seeds of life, eventually leading to the development of the Earthling race.[13]
During their history, the Earthlings waged multiple wars amongst themselves, but following the end of the Second World War in 1945, no other global conflict would ever be fought on their planet. Despite this, the Earthlings encountered many difficulties in the following centuries, including explosive population growth, environmental destruction, economic disparity due to the concentration of wealth, and increasingly violent ideological, religious, and ethnic conflicts. By the 20th century, the Earthlings began to send manned missions into space, but the first permanent space colony wouldn't be built until the early 22nd century.[12]
Two planet bombs fall on Earth
In 2191, the United Nations entered into contact with the Greater Garmillan Empire. The subsequent war would be the most devastating conflict in history, leading to the death of 70% of the world's population. Through a systematic long-range bombing carried out with planet bombs between 2192 and 2199, the Garmillans reduced the Earth to a barren red desert, rendering life impossible on the surface and forcing all living beings to retreat to underground cities. At this time, plans for the Earthlings to abandon their home planet began to be put in place.[12][1][14][15]
The C.R.S.activates
In 2198, Iscandar sent an envoy to the planet offering a technology capable of restoring the world to its old blue self, the Cosmo Reverse System. However, Iscandar was unable to send this technology to Earth, and an Earthling vessel would be needed to come and physically retrieve it. The space battleship Yamato was built for this project and launched in February 2199. Its journey would start a series of events that ended the war with Garmillas. The Cosmo Reverse successfully restored the Earth to its former glory, but the effects of the bombings like patches of deserted land, and impact craters left behind by the planet bombs would be visible for years to come.[15][16][17][18][4]
The time fault in 2202
Additionally, the activation of the C.R.S. led to the creation of a pocket of time dilation deep underground.[19]
The nature recreated by the C.R.S. was, however, not an exact copy of the one that existed before the invasion, but an untouched nature from an unknown time.[20] Another result of the Earth's restoration was that, with its air now purified, cargo transport in the atmosphere became possible once more, leading to the founding of the Earth Atmospheric Transport Squadron.[21]
Following the end of the conflict, the United Nations began to transition into a unified planetary government, the first in the planet's history, called the Earth Federation. While the process would take years, it would eventually be completed by January of 2205.[4][22]
Zworder awakens the Ark
The Earth once again came at the risk of planetary annihilation during the Gatlantis Campaign of 2203. The Archelian Ark of Destruction was fully reactivated by the Gatlantean Emperor Zworder, who damaged the Moon and aimed at rendering the planet uninhabitable. However, through the efforts of Yamato's crew and the help of the goddess Teresa, the Ark was destroyed, and the Earth was once again saved. The partial destruction of the Moon led to a series of meteor showers that rained on the planet's surface for the following months.[23][24][25]
In October of 2207, the planet fell under the occupation of the Dezariam Army,[26] the military force of Dezariam, a nation that claimed to be formed by Earthlings from the distant future.[27]
Future history[]

According to Dezariam's account of the future, planet Earth would face a series of catastrophes in the centuries following the 23rd century. In 2152, the Earth Federation declared war on Bolar once again, which led to the destruction of Earth's southern hemisphere by an interplanetary ballistic missile in 2255.[27]
In 2798, the opening of a spatial rupture near Saturn would release a wave of unknown matter over the solar system. This matter ravaged Earth, destroying its surface and much of its interior, drastically altering its shape to a cage-like world surrounding a shriveled core.[27] This catastrophe killed all humans in the Solar System that had not been mechanized.[28]
