The Earth-Garmillas Interim Agreement (GARMILLAS TERON MERAUZEL ARCZNEYE, Garmillas Teron Merauzel Arczneye) as a ceasefire signed by the Greater Garmillas Empire and the United Nations space battleship Yamato toward the end of the Great Garmillas War in July of 2199.
The agreement formally ended hostilities between Garmillas and Earth and laid the groundwork for a comprehensive peace settlement to conclude the conflict. The Yamato would return to Earth mostly unimpeded on December of 2199.[4] The Garmillas War formally ended in 2200[5] with the Earth-Garmillas Peace Treaty being signed the following year.[6]
The signing of the peace treaty would be quicky followed by a mutual security agreement between Garmillas and the newly founded Earth Federation.[1]

The Great Garmillas War[]
A planet bomb falls on Earth, circa 2198
The Great Garmillas War broke out in April of 2191 following the events of the First Contact with Garmillas.[7] From 2192 to 2199,[1] the Garmillans bombed the Earth with planet bombs launched by their base on Pluto, reducing the Earth to a barren desert and forcing the Earthlings to retreat into underground cities.[8] This was the first step of the Garmillasforming process, which intended to make the Earth a planet capable of sustaining long-term Garmillan inhabitants.[9]
Having learned of the Earth's situation, in 2198, Queen Stasha of Iscandar sent her sister, Princess Yurisha, to give the planet's inhabitants the necessary technology to reach Iscandar. There they would receive the Cosmo Reverse System, a piece of technology capable of restoring the Earth to its old blue self.[8]
Yamato's journey[]
Yamato descends on Garmillas during the Battle of the Imperial Capital
On February 11, 2199,[1] the United Nations Cosmo Navy battleship Yamato took off and set sail for Iscandar.[10] During its journey, Yamato encountered and fought against the Greater Garmillan Empire multiple times,[11] even getting involved in its ongoing civil war.[12] On July 15,[1] the warship arrived at the Salezar system home of Garmillas and Iscandar. There it fought a battle against the empire's Imperial Guard, during which the Garmillan Supreme Leader Abelt Desler tried to drop a section of the orbital city fortress Baleras II on the Imperial capital under siege by the Yamato. The battle ended with the destruction of the space fortress and Desler seemingly dying.[13]
With the disappearance of the Supreme Leader, and the people losing faith in his guidance due to the events of the previous battle, a new provisional government, headed by former Vice Leader Redof Hiss and including moderate exponents of the military and the civil government, stepped in to fill the power vacuum.[14][15]
Negotiations and treaty content[]
Executive officer Shiro Sanada (pictured) negotiated the treaty with Vice Leader Hiss on behalf of the Yamato
Following the battle Yamato's executive officer, Lt. Commander Shiro Sanada, and the Third Princess of Iscandar, Yurisha Iscandar, discussed with Vice Leader Redof Hiss within Baleras Tower.[3]
The Earth-Garmillas Interim Agreement was signed soon after the battle, between July 16 and 17.[2] It consisted of a ceasefire between Garmillas and the Yamato, according to which all Garmillan troops were to stand down and not harm Yamato's return to Earth in any way.[16]
Following the signing of the Earth-Iscandar Treaty of Peace and Amity, when the Yamato's wave motion gun was sealed, the seal was applied in accordance with both the treaty of peace and amity and the Earth-Garmillas Interim Agreemet.[14]

Tensions and attack[]
Acting Captain Berger of Lamvea refuses the stand down order issued by Col. Neredia Ricke of the 8th Security Fleet
Following the treaty, the previously removed Admiral Ditz, supreme commander of the Garmillas Astro Fleet, ordered all Garmillas units and formations to return to the capital. Some, however, refused to recognize the new government. In August of 2199,[17] the badly damaged Guipellon-class carrier Lamvea, which had barely survived a battle with Yamato earlier that year, was contacted by the 8th Security Fleet and told to halt. The ship's acting commander, Lt. Commander Fomt Berger, had no intention of stopping their fight against the Terrans, especially after losing the rest of their fleet against their battleship. Ultimately, however, the 8th Security Fleet and Lamvea fought alongside Yamato against the Gatlantis Empire, thus calming the hostilities between the two sides.[16]
Goer's fleet at Balun
A month later, a fleet headed by Major General Gremdt Goer met with the secretly still alive Supreme Leader Desler and planned an attack against Yamato near planet Balun. The fleet was intercepted by the dimensional submarine UX-01 dispatched by the interim government. Once Goer refused to peacefully surrender, his flagship was attacked and destroyed.[18]

The treaty's official name is seen on the wave motion gun's muzzle.[16]
