The Dimensional Dreadnought was the largest and most powerful class of super battleship developed by the SUS Empire.
Armament and Specifications[]
At a length of over 1049.78 meters, the Dimensional Dreadnought was a massive (dwarfing even the space battleship Yamato and the flagship Maya in size) and extremely powerful and terrifying vessel with a vast array of terrifying weapons capabilities.
The Dreadnought could move freely between dimensions with ease, generating large space-time waves in its wake. The ship specialized in surprise attacking the enemy with its dimensional movement and mass amount of weapons, which consisted of arrays of heavy neutron cannons and torpedo launch tubes. Lying in the center of the ship's gaping maw was its own powerful and extremely lethal hyper neutron beam weapon, which was capable of decimating any Earth Federation ship. It also had the ability to launch two of it's diamond shaped panels and essentially sandwich a ship between them, firing a mass amount of smaller neutron cannons at the it. The ship itself was also nigh invincible, possessing advanced shields powered by a artificial sun.[1]
History[]
The only known recorded encounter with a Dimensional Dreadnought happened late in the SUS Empire - Earth Federation War conflict of the year 2220. The only vessel of the class was a gigantic and utterly massive Dimensional Dreadnought commanded by SUS Commander Barlsman during peacetime and Admiral Metzler during the final days of the War. The vessel itself was hidden deep within the bowels of the SUS Fortress and was the ultimate weapon of the SUS Empire. When the gigantic vessel finally revealed itself to the stunned crew of the Yamato, in the aftermath of it's destroy SUS Fortress, thus did it began attacking the Yamato.
The Dimensional Dreadnought proved to be too much for the Yamato to handle, especially when the gigantic vessel relentlessly bombarded them and dissappeared, then reappeared using devastating hit and run tactics before reappearing. All of this combined firepower left the Yamato unable to counterattack against the giant vessel when it reappeared as the ship itself was also nigh invincible, possessing advanced shields powered by an nearby artificial sun that was in close proximity. When both Barlsman and Admiral Mtzler noticed that the Yamato was making a run for it, they then detached two of the Dimensional Dreadnought's diamond shaped panels and had them attack the Yamato from all sides further damaging her even further. However the Yamato quickly returned fire with it's side missile tubes, successfully disabling both of the unmanned diamond shaped panels of the SUS Dimensional Dreadnought. This attempted delying attack by the Dimension Dreadnought however, quickly proved to be its downfall however, as the ship was destroyed after the Yamato had fired its powerful wave motion gun right at the artificial star, collapsing it, and the resulting black hole energy completely consumed not only the remaining SUS Battleship's, but it also completely teared it apart and totally and utterly obliterated the massive Dimensional Dreadnought Alfee, successfully killing everyone aboard including Barlsman, all except Admiral Metzler who had managed to escape at the last moment.[1]

Trivia[]
- The Dimensional Dreadnought was designed by concept art designer Makoto Kobayashi, who designed all of the Earth and SUS spaceships and fighter mecha for Yamato Rebirth.
- In the film Yamato Rebirth, the few seconds of Beethoven's 5th Piano Concerto "Emperor" can be heard whenever the Dimensional Dreadnought decloaks and attacks the Yamato.
