This article is about the Delamya-class Assault Landing Ship from Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2199 and its sequels. For its counterpart in the original Space Battleship Yamato, see Disk-shaped Patrol Boat.
The Delamya-class Assault Landing Ships is a class of ships in service in the Greater Garmillan Empire built for enemy reconnaissance and raid missions.
Armament and Technical Spesifications[]
A Delamya can carry 6 armored vehicles such as the Saruba S-VI Type Heavy Tank or Melbar M-III Type Armored Personnel Carrier. For defense, the ship is also equipped with two guns, namely one double positron beam turret located in the lower hull and two torpedo tubes which are located at the end of the ship's bow. All of the ship's crew are Gamiloids controlled or commanded from a remote main base.[4][1][2] It has no conning tower, and the bridge is embedded in the bow.[2][5]
History[]
In 2199, a Delamya-class Landing Ship was stationed beneath the planet Saturn's rings, in February of that year it was ordered to strike at UNCF battleship Yamato while it made a stop at Enceladus to take supplies of Cosmonite 90 for engine repair. the ship immediately unloaded two Saruba S-VI Type Heavy Tanks near a medical team sent by the ship's crew who were checking on an allied SOS signal, the remaining three heavy tanks, along with one Melbar M-III Type Armored Personnel Carrier, were unloaded near Yamato. The ship and all of the armored vehicles were destroyed by Akira Yamamoto and Saburo Kato with the two Cosmo Zeros brought on Yamato.[4]
Later that year, Delamya-class Assault Landing Ships were present at the naval review on planet Balun.[6]
In early 2203, General Talan and Supreme Leader Desler used a Delamya-class Assault Landing Ship to move between the surface of planet Terezart and Desler's flagship, Neu Deusura.[7]
