The United Nations Cosmo Navy operated a series of Defense Satellites for Earth's defense during the Yamato Revolt and the Gatlantis Campaign.[1][3]

Defense Satellites use thermonucler power to move and to fire their weapons.[3] They are controlled remotely via a computer from UNCF Headquarters.[1][3]
History[]
On December 2, 2202,[4] a Defense Satellite in lunar orbit was deployed to attack a Gatlantis ship fleeing from the 8th Floating Continent Operation. The satellite ended up being destroyed by the battleship.[1] On December 24, 2202,[3] a Defense Satellite was dispatched by UNCF Headquarters to stop Yamato's mutinous crew. The satellite also ended up being destroyed by the space battleship.[3] At least one Defense Satellite was present as the Yamanami Fleet prepared to battle in the Battle of Saturn.[5]
