The DWG.262 Czvarke Astro Combat Fighter is the main single-seat fighter of the Greater Garmillan Empire used by most of its military's aviation units.
Armaments and Technical Specifications[]
The Czvarke is the main Greater Garmillan Empire fighter capable of transatmospheric operations,[3] it's used both as a carrier-based plane and as part of independent air squadrons.[4] Its design features a four-engine propulsion system and aerodynamic devices such as canards under the nose, blended swept wings, and four tail fins. These give the Czvarke high maneuverability not only in space, but also in atmosphere, making it comparable to that of the UNCN Cosmo Falcon fighter.[5][6] The Czvarke is heavily armed, being equipped with 6 machine guns on its wings and 2 on its nose, it can also be equipped with up to 6 anti-air missiles.[4]

Although the Czvarke is known as a space fighter, it is also designed to operate in atmosphere. The Czvarke is a single-seat, dual-purpose aircraft, with the cockpit located slightly forward of the fuselage. The cockpit is a standard type with a single stick-type control stick and two pedals for basic aircraft control. The passenger’s body is fixed to the seat by a back connector on the pilot suit. The canopy is an integrated type with a hinge at the rear, featuring a smooth shape that matches the fuselage outline.[5]

A variant of the Czvarke called embassy-specification aircraft or embassy fighter was designed exclusively for usage by embassy personnel. These fighters are painted white and sport complex purple patterns. These patterns seem to be rooted in Garmillas culture and are painted on certain Zoellugut-class 1st Class Astro Combat Vessels or on Wall of Garmillas Subject, but rarely on fighters. This is assumed to be for identification purpose and due to the high status of the fighters' pilots.[5] The embassy fighters could carry up to ten automated defense drones and EMP torpedoes that generate electromagnetic pulses.[7]
The Czvarke's achievements effectively make it the equivalent of the Type 1 Cosmo Tiger II.[5]
History[]

Ditz in the cockpit of her personal Czvarke
The Czvarke has been in service in the Imperial Garmillas Defense Force for many years. During the Garmillas War it was flown by many ace pilots, some of whom are said to have applied their own tuning to the aircraft.[5]
In 2199, a red Czvarke belonging to Lieutenant Merda Ditz, placed aboard the battlecruiser EX-178 disappeared with its ship in a dimensional fault. The ship encountered an enemy ship trapped in the void with them, the Earth battleship Yamato. Ditz flied her Czvarke to Yamato to negotiate a ceasefire.[8] On May 14, 2199, Ensign Hiroki Shinohara used a captured Czvarke which had been left over at subspace gate control satellite to carry out a recon mission on Balun.[8] The Czvarke was then taken by Ditz during the journey to Iscandar and used in the Battle of the Imperial Capital.[3][9]

In August 2199, 32 Czvarke carried by the 8th Security Fleet's Battleship-carriers Mirangal and Nirvales fought in the Battle of Shambleau against a Gatlantean fleet. One of the pilots was a former Lamvea pilot, Kim Melhe, who died in the battle.[10]
In late 2202, Lieutenant Klaus Keyman of the Garmillas embassy on Earth owned a personalized silver Czvarke carrying several automated drones. He used it to assist the former Yamato pilots in a skirmish near the asteroid belt.[11] He took his Czvarke with him during his journey aboard Yamato to Terezart.[12][13] The Czvarke was destroyed Terezart, but Keyman obtained a new identical plane which he flew in the Final Battle Over Earth in which he was killed.[14][15]

In late 2205, Merda Ditz participated in the Iscandar Incident using her personal red Czvarke with the Garmillas-Earth joint fleet.[16][17][18][19]
Notes[]
- The Czvarke shares part of its designation and aircraft design with the Messerschmitt Me 262 Schwalbe/Sturmvogel jet fighter used by the Luftwaffe of Nazi Germany during World War II.
- DWG. may be the abbreviation for "Deluswualga", the Garmillan word for "Battle-aviation-plane" or fighter.[20]
