Artificial sun

An artificial sun powered by a Wave-motion Engine^[1] was created by the Greater Garmillan Empire to sustain life on the 11th planet. Because the world has an elliptical orbit and is far from the Sun, it needed an additional star to ensure successful colonization. During the Battle of the 11th planet, the Gatlantis Empire tried to use the artificial sun to power a Legionnaire Cannon aimed at the Earth. However, before they could execute their plan, the battleship Yamato fired its Wave-motion Gun at the sun. This created a wave-motion resonance effect that deactivated nearby Gatlantean ships, disrupting their formation. Unfortunately, this attack also caused irreparable damage to the artificial sun.^[2]^[3]^[4]
