Ginga's AU13

The AU13 (spelled "AU Thirteen"), also referred to as command AI, is a mass produced AU Type robot developed by the Earth Federation during the Gatlantis Campaign. AU13 units were heavily employed during the conflict as part of the E.F.'s plan to automate its war effort.

Technical Specifications

AU13 units were AU Type robots used to control unmanned United Nations Cosmo Navy vessels and to make predictions regarding possible movements of the Gatlantean forces. They were linked to a self-replicating mainframe in the time fault on Earth, which was constantly updated with combat data from the frontlines. The AU13 line seems to be a more advanced version of the AU09 unit.

History

Black Analyzer was an AU13 unit active by May 8, 2203, aboard the Ginga. It was supposed to play a central part in the activation and management of Project G. Initially the AI mainframe present in the time fault wasn't advanced enough to allow AU13s to singlehandedly control entire fleets, thus, Black Analyzer used the combat data taken during the Attack on the annihilation missile fleet to speed up the mainframe's growth. By May 14, AU13 units were given control of various unmanned fleets, including the BBB Squadron and the Andromeda Fleet YF 2203. AU13 units continued to control the unmanned UNCN forces as far as late 2203, but following the loss of the mainframe in the aftermath of the Referendum on Kodai and Yuki Mori's repatriation, the Earth Federation Cosmo Force cancelled the production of automized warships. Despite this, at least one AU13 unit is still employed by the Cosmo Navy.
